As sweet osmanthus blooms and the full moon rises, the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival arrives with warmth and reunion. On this traditional festival rich in cultural meaning, Qingdao Huanghai University once again conveys warmth through action, continuing its much-praised tradition of “spoiling” its students. The university carefully prepared a special Mid-Autumn sweet gift for every on-campus student — nearly 30,000 custom-made mooncakes, distributed free of charge, allowing Huanghai students from all over the country to share in this warmth and blessing that feels like “home”.

The festival warmth also reached 60 international students from 12 countries. For these international students who have traveled far to study in China, this may be the first traditional Chinese festival they have spent away from home in a foreign land. A small mooncake, like a miniature bright moon, lit up their unfamiliarity and anxiety as newcomers, and conveyed the most sincere greetings and acceptance from the university and from China. This sweetness not only melts on the tip of the tongue, but warms the heart.

The moon shines brightest at Mid-Autumn; the warmth runs deepest at Huanghai.Adhering to a student-oriented approach, Qingdao Huanghai University interprets its original aspiration of “education with warmth” through quiet, nourishing actions.
A mooncake, a touch of sweetness, a greeting — they link the Mid-Autumn memories of all Huanghai people, and make this night of reunion even fuller because of love.
